Today’s Dose of Hope: God With Us
Merry Christmas! I hope you’re having a blessed day. The fiance and I are in Denver celebrating with his family and enjoying all the snow outside the window. I love Christmas. I love the chance each year to pause and watch the world collectively celebrate that God is with us. That’s why “Oh Holy Night” and “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” are my two favorite Christmas songs. I think each of them captures the true meaning of Christmas, “God with us,” and what it must have felt like to be there on that day.
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”(which means “God with us”). – Matthew 1:23 (NIV)
Mariah Carey – “Oh Holy Night”
The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! – Luke 2:11 (NLT)
For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6 (NLT)

Emmanuel – God With us. I love this title. I really like Phil Wickham’s version of this song.
Have a blessed day.
Isn’t it great? I discovered him through Greg Laurie and really like his version. I hope you had a blessed Christmas and are enjoying this time before the new year.
merry CHRISTmas
